It is possible to return the X-Rite DTP22 to its factory defaults. Doing so will return the unit to a known functional state before attempting to configure it for the specific needs of a software application. The reset command will restore ALL settings in both volatile and non-volatile memory. Use this command with care as it overwrites all configuration settings in the instrument.
Required... (1) X-Rite's reset utility or (2) any commercial terminal program. Proceed as follows:
Default: 9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, handshake off
Instrument type and firmware version should be returned.
Send "5CRI". Response should be <00>
Unit is now returned to X-Rite Factory Default Settings.
Note: After a reset, the unit must be recalibrated before it will measure accurately!
