Problem:
When trying to scan and recognize the color bar, for the first time, I'm getting a low recognition % (too many DUD's).
Solution:
There are a few things that can cause the color bar recognition % to be low. First, always check your Job Setup to ensure that you selected the proper color bar from the color bar library and that the color bar was built properly. Second, ensure that the color order of the patches is the same in the job setup as it is on your press sheet. Third, check the color bar on the actual press sheet. Check to see if it was stripped properly (full and continuous repeat pattern without gaps or bits and pieces stripped in). Click here for full Color Bar details.
