To conifirm that your i1D2 is correctly installed:
Rght-click on My Computer and choose Manage
Look for i1display in the list of devices. It will probably have a yellow triangle with an exclamation point beside it.
Right-click on the i1display option and choose "Update driver".
Load your sofware CD into the computer when asked and allow Windows to search for software automatically.
Your computer should find the driver and automatically install it.
After the installation is complete, re-launch the HP DreamColor APS. It should now detect your device.
If you still cannot connect:
Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to bring up your Task Manager.
Go to the Processes tab and sort by Image Name.
Look for the "i1DisplayObiWan.exe" process and the "wnoted.exe" process. Right click to close the processes if they are launched.
Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\X-Rite\InstrumentService and double click on the "wnoted.exe" to re-launch the process. (You may not see any activity, since the process launches in the background of your PC.)
Open the HP-DreamColor folder and double click on the "i1DisplayObiWan.exe" to launch that process as well.
Restart the HP DreamColor APS software to confirm that your device is now detected.
