When entering a custom calculation in the L*a*b* Data view, it is essential that any calculations which refer to other cells (containing calculations) be in the proper order. The calculations are done from top to bottom, column by column. If a calculation refers to another cell, that cell's calculation must have already occurred, or the calculations will be incorrect. The table below shows the order in which the calculations are done.

An example of an incorrect usage would be to have a calculation in the cell numbered 1 above, refer to a calculation in the cell numbered 4, or any other cell after 1.
