Overview
i1 Paint reduces contamination issues that plague many spectrophotometers by measuring with the port facing down and using filtered glass to protect the optical components from damage. It also supports a Kensington security lock to secure the device to the work surface.

i1 Paint is a cost-effective handheld spectrophotometer for use at retail paint counters. It allows associates to quickly capture quality readings in less than one second on an 8mm portion of a sample like fan deck cards and painted items.
i1 Paint integrates with ColorDesigner PLUS paint software to quickly formulate and store custom paint recipes. Compared to visual color matching, a custom paint match done with i1 Paint will save up to 30 minutes per color match, reduce mismatched paints, and decrease waste.
