How do I take handheld measurements with my Spectrolino?

First, follow the appropriate cabling directions for your application. Make sure your Spectrolino has power and can communicate with your computer. The Spectrolino will confirm that is connected correctly by sounding a series of four tones. Use the calibration plate to perform a calibration prior to measuring.

If desired, slide the Spectrolino onto the positioning foot to align your measurement. Postion the unit so that the desired sample completely fills the measuring aperture. Once you have the instrument positioned, press the large measurment button on the top of the unit. You will hear a brief single beep confirming that the measurement has been taken. Your measurement data will then populate in your software.
