CombiJob workflow - ColorCert

The workflow is as follows:
 

• Converter receives individual CCJ’s from the brand owner via repo server
• Converter then:
  • Creates CombiJobs* saving them to the local CC folder structure for use in production – local defined as their local machine or on their internal network drive, however they are configured
  • Creates CombiJob Media Strip adding it to the press sheet layout for plating
  • Measure and upload to the scorecard server

Currently the CombiJob cannot be uploaded to the repo server because of the parent child relationship between the files. A CombiJob is a Proxy file that defines a link to all of the CCJ’s (and other metadata) that need to be combined within the same scan and as such should be locally stored due to this relationship.

The workflow is designed so that the converter is responsible for their own layouts and the creation of their own CombiJobs. The Brand Owner should not have to create a new job every time a converter changes a layout.

*Please note that converters currently require a master license to build CombiJobs.
