Generic Output Profile - GoP

The high-end version of ProfileMaker includes a software feature that allows the customer to replace a color within a profile without all the tedious up-front printing and measurement.  It simplifies the process to only a few measurements.  The customer need only print or proof a [1] solid and [2] a set of dot gain targets for the new color.

Using this function it would be possible to replace the magenta in a conventional C-M-Y-K profile with (for example) Pantone 185 Red.  This is a very powerful feature and has the potential to save packaging printers a great deal of effort as they craft effective profiles for various products and customers.
