Can I change the polarization of my 5xx in the field?

Changing the polarization on your 5xx is a very simple process. Flip your spectrodensitometer
over on its back. Rotate the shoe stop 90 degrees, to open the shoe. Twist the optics cap
counter-clockwise until the arrow on the cap aligns with the diamond on the housing and lift to
remove and set aside.

Place the new polarized optics cap in place by aligning the triangle on the cap with the diamond
on the housing. Turn clockwise until the triangle aligns with triangle/circle. Close shoe and re-calibrate.

Congratulations. You have just changed the polarization of your 5xx.
