High CPU Usage By The XRDD Process on Mac

Some Mac users are reporting that X-Rite Device Service's XRDD process is using an exceedingly high amount of their CPU.We've seen an issue in Apple's Firewall Options cause an abnormally high CPU usage with XRDD.  Please Try the following:

  2. Click the lock in the lower left corner. add your password, and click "Unlock".

  4. If "xrdd" is listed in the Mac Firewall Options, remove it by single-clicking on xrdd and then click the "-" sign.
  5. Lastly, re-add "xrdd" using the "+" sign and navigating to: Mac HD/Library/Application Support/X-Rite/Frameworks/XRiteDevice.framework/Versions/B/Resouces/xrdd.
