Some ColorMunki Photo users are reporting an application crash on Mac (usually OS X 10.11 and 10.12). A clean uninstall and reinstall will many times resolve the issue.There is crash issue that has been happening on a small number of ColorMunki Photo users on Mac (most often seen on OS X 10.11 and 10.12). Our software development team has been able to replicate the issue and is working to identify the root cause of these crashes. We plan to deliver a permanent solution soon and appreciate your patience with this issue. Many times, if the user selects the “Reopen” button in the crash window…they are able to successfully profile. Some users have seen an improvement by doing a clean uninstall and then reinstall of CM Photo 1.2.4. To perform a clean manual uninstall of CM Photo and then reinstall CM Photo 1.2.4, unplug the CM Photo device, close all programs, and then delete all of the following files/folders if they exist:
Mac HD > Applications:
Delete “ColorMunki Photo” program folder
Mac HD/Library/
Application Support:
Delete ‘X-Rite’ folder
Delete ‘ColorMunki’ folder
ColorPickers:
Delete colormunki colorpicker files
LaunchDaemons:
Delete all “…x-rite…” files
LaunchAgents:
Delete all “…x-rite…” files
Frameworks:
Delete all included “X-Rite…” frameworks and aliases
Logs:
Delete all colormunki / x-rite related logs
Mac HD/Users/<user name>/Library/
Application Support:
Delete “ColorMunki” folder
Logs:
Delete all “colormunki” and “x-rite” related logs
Preferences:
Delete all “com.xrite…” preference files
Restart the computer and then follow these steps to reinstall CM Photo 1.2.4:
Please do the following:
Close all programs
Unplug your CM Photo device
Download and install CM Photo 1.2.4 from the link below.
Restart your computer, plug in the CM Photo device, open CM Photo 1.2.4 and test.
