Invalid ICC profile error

There are a couple scenarios which can cause an invalid ICC profile error to occur while profiling your monitor. The most common scenario is a profile name which includes illegal characters such as slashes or punctuation characters. The ICC naming convention is much more ridged than what your computer will allow. The first suggestion if getting this error is to re-profile, but use a short name which includes only alphanumeric characters, something such as joe. If this does not work and you are using a Mac, go to your preferences folder and throw away your "ColorSync Preferences" file and your "ColorSync Cache" file, then try again. These files have likely become corrupt and are the source of your problem. They will be rebuilt when you create your next profile.
