Missing Ports in Windows Device Manager
It as been observed in some newer Windows 7 and 8 PC's that ports is not an active device or installed device. If this is the case follow the instructions below.Open device manager.
Choose actions from the menu at the top.
Select add legacy hardware. This will open the Add Hardware Wizard. Click next.
Choose the radio button that allows for manaul selection of hardware from a list.
The list will open and select Ports.
Follow instructions and the Ports will be installed on the PC.
